Since its establishment, the Miin Wu School of Computing has been committed to providing a comprehensive interdisciplinary education and research environment. We aim to cultivate innovative talents with domain expertise and computing skills who can leverage cutting-edge computing technology to solve practical problems and bring positive impact and value to society.
The Miin Wu School of Computing invites students to participate in the very first Grand Challenge, showcasing innovative ideas and envisioning the future of computing together.
Computing is rapidly transforming the world, and we would love to hear your innovative ideas for its future. Our Grand Challenge invites submissions of research findings related to all computing-related technology, including computational paradigms and their applications, that have the potential to shape the future and facilitate human intelligence augmentation.
We look forward to seeing participants showcase their innovative ideas, learn from other outstanding works, and enhance their practical experience and creative thinking. Additionally, we encourage students to engage with social issues and carefully consider the social effects of technology. Through the Grand Challenge, we aim to strengthen the connection between computing technology and social issues and nurture professional talents with a broad vision.
Please submit written documents and presentation files before June 2June 30.
The submissions will be reviewed anonymously by a panel of professionals, and the selection will be based on innovation (30%), research completeness (40%), and social impact (30%). The panel will determine the number of finalists and the selection.
The final presentation will be held on July 1July 29.
